What is compassion?

Compassion is a way to show sympathy and concern. The same sympathy and concern you would show to someone that's going through a tough time. Maybe they're having an issue that you would so readily show concern for.

Where does compassion show up in your life?

How does compassion show up in your life? Compassion can be every day with family and friends. It could be in the workplace, but most importantly, it should be within yourself.

Are you showing yourself compassion?

Are you showing that same concern for yourself? Are you taking time to really be gentle with yourself? One way to analyse this is analyse how you speak to yourself. Internal dialogue is a great way to determine how your compassion stands with it. So if you are saying negative things to yourself, if you make a mistake, ask yourself, are those the same negative things you would say to a colleague or a friend? Chances are the answer is no.
