Who are you?

My name is Paul Chuckle. Well, it's actually Paul Elliot, but stage name is Paul Chuckle. You little know me or should know me as part of the Chuckle Brothers, half the Chuckle Brothers, chuckle Vision, 23 years of it. I'm an author. I've written a great book, 50 50 years to meet you, and I'm also a dj. I do nightclubs and universities. I wanted to be a footballer, but only one thing stopped me. I couldn't play, but there you go.

What makes you smile most these days?

Probably the grandchildren, they're just lovely to have them round and when they start to talk, well the eldest grandchild is 29, coming up with 30, so she can talk for a long time now. And now she's having a baby in July. So I'll be a great granddad. But little Teddy is two and a half and he recognises now, and he, granddad, granddad, nanny, nanny. And it's lovely. He's just a little lad and full of smiles and yeah, family.

What would you say to your younger self?

I would say, you've got a great life ahead of you. You're going to enjoy every minute of it. And actually, I'm telling, I'd be telling him something that I always thought anyway. Life is short. I'm say 77 and a half now, coming up 78. I'm still here, still going strong. No aches and pains, touch wood, and yeah, I tell you, you can have a good life. Enjoy it, which I have and still do.

Was there ever a point where you didn't think you would make it through the hard times?

What have you learned about yourself in the years since losing your brother?
