You know all the things you have on your mind – from the big stuff you're going through to the small things you're just curious about? Well, JAAQ is where you can finally find some honest insights. We’ve got personal stories from real people who’ve been through it, to clinical experts and subject experts who understand these things professionally. We want you to have a safe place to go where it's okay to just be you. Because life is a journey, full of ups and downs. And we believe hearing from others can be one of the most powerful things in the world.
We created JAAQ because we believe people deserve authentic stories about life, not just polished advice. Our founder, Danny, saw that too many people were struggling in silence, thinking they were the only ones. So, we built JAAQ to show you that you're not alone. No matter what you’re going through, you can get real insights from people who’ve lived it, and from the experts who understand it.
Everyone who shares their story here is only sharing their own genuine perspective. That includes the people who've lived it, studied it, or just know a lot about it. We believe in authenticity, and our clinical team checks everything to make sure it's high quality. But remember, even the experts are still figuring things out sometimes. Take what helps, leave what doesn't, and listen to your own gut above all else.
No, absolutely not. Think of JAAQ as your friend who gets it – not a professional. We're here for real, human conversation and shared stories, but we are not therapy. If you need a diagnosis, clinical support, or medical care, the best thing you can do is talk to a qualified professional.
Honestly? That's totally fine. You'll probably find a contributor who says something you disagree with. We might not agree with them either, but we exist to get people talking more openly, so we believe in sharing different perspectives. If you don't like what someone's saying, that's cool – you don't have to watch. But someone else might find their story helpful. Just because someone is on JAAQ doesn't mean we agree with their politics or anything else, we just value what they bring to the conversation.
Use JAAQ to hear what you need to hear, from the people who’ve lived it and from the experts who understand it. This is for all those moments when you just need to know you're not the only one feeling this way. Whether you're looking for a real story or a professional perspective that comes from a real person instead of a clinical textbook, you can find it here.
On JAAQ you’ll hear from three kinds of voices: clinical experts, subject specialists, and people with lived experience. The experts bring knowledge from their fields. The lived experience voices bring honesty from the messy, human side of life. Put together, they create something powerful – different perspectives with the same goal: helping you feel less alone.
Absolutely. If you’ve got a story or expertise to share, we’d love to hear from you. Whether it’s lived experience, clinical knowledge, or a specialist skill, your perspective could be exactly what someone else needs. Everyone has something valuable to offer. Please get in touch.
JAAQ was created by Danny Gray – also the founder of Warpaint for Men. His own experience with Body Dysmorphia and anxiety made him passionate about opening up conversations around mental health. After countless people reached out looking for support, Danny saw the need for a space where stories and answers could be shared openly. Today he’s a mental health advocate who speaks to thousands every year, always honest about his own journey.
